Emergency Utility/Water Assistance Program
The Board of Water & Sewer Commissioners of the City of Mobile,
in cooperation with Mobile Community Action, Inc. has established a program
designated to assist needy families in paying the rising cost of water and sewer services. The program is called the Emergency Utility/Water Assistance Program(EUWAP). This program is also known as "Project Care".
The Board initially funded the program with $5,000.00 and offers its customers and employees the opportunity to make monthly contributions to support this program. If monthly contributions are insufficient to provide necessary funding, the program will cease.
The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System is responsible for requesting donations and for collecting the funds designated for this program. If a customer does not want to commit to a monthly contribution but wants to participate in the program, a one-time donation can be made to the EUWAP. If you would like to make a donation, please send a check or money order to the Mobile Area Water & Sewer System's accounting department.
The mailing address is P.O. Box 2368, Mobile, AL 36652. Please note on the check that this is a contribution to the EUWAP program.
Mobile Community Action, Inc.(MCA) will be responsible for determining the eligibility of each family requesting assistance under the EUWAP. The EUWAP funds are not used for any purpose other than providing assistance to eligible families to help pay water and sewer costs.
