We understand your concern about the safety of your drinking water. At MAWSS it is our mission to give our customers a safe and reliable supply of useable and drinkable water. Despite the coronavirus pandemic our water will continue to flow and be safe for you and your loved ones. There is no need to boil your tap water, buy bottled water, or alter your normal water usage habits. Our plants treat water for pathogens and viruses like COVID-19. Our wastewater and sewer workers are doing their best to keep our community safe from COVID-19. There is no evidence that COVID-19 spreads to humans through pools or hot tubs. Based on earlier outbreaks of SARS and MERS we know that fecal transmission of COVID-19 is unlikely. Standard handling of wastewater and sewage is effective in addressing the spread of COVID-19.
