MAWSS
Annual Water Quality Report
INTRODUCTORY
MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
The Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) strives for
excellence. Our strongest commitment is to you, our consumers,
and we demonstrate this with the high quality of your drinking
water. We want you to know that we are distributing this
report to familiarize you with the effort we take daily
to perform testing and water quality control programs.

We are
proud to report to you that during 2001, MAWSS met or exceeded all
federal and state standards for drinking water. This water comes from
the 3,600-acre Converse Reservoir, also known as Big Creek Lake. The
reservoir has such an abundant supply of good quality drinking water,
it will meet our requirements sufficiently in Mobile County for the
next century.
This entire
system is managed, maintained and enhanced by a team of
employees that work together to see that your drinking water
is safe and reliable. As one of our 260,000 consumers, we
want to ensure your confidence in us and the service we
provide to you.
