Customer Operations Manager
Mitch Jackson is the Customer Operations Manager of the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System, which provides water and wastewater service to more than 100,000 customers across Mobile County. He began his career with MAWSS 32 years ago as an unskilled Laborer working in the MAWSS warehouse.
He has held several positions within MAWSS, including Meter Technician I & II, Meter Repair & Backflow Supervisor, and Meter Operations Manager. Mr. Jackson, in 2018, was promoted to the Customer Operation Manager position that oversees several departments that include Customer Service, Billing Department, Cross-Connections & Meters, Dispatch & Maintenance, Installation & Disconnection, and AMI/Meter Reading. A native of Mobile and a Lifetime MAWSS customer, Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He has also obtained several certifications in Backflow Prevention from the University of Florida Treeo Center in Gainesville, Florida.
