Recently replaced joint sealantOctober 2025—C-Sharpe is currently replacing failed joint sealant from their previous installation earlier in the year. The joint material failed to properly cure in certain areas and they are testing and repairing all joints that had sealant failure. The joint sealant is necessary to keep debris from penetrating the concrete expansion joints.

Newly painted spillway gates
October 2025—Our painting contractor has completed spot touch-up painting on all 7 Tainter gates on the spillway. The gates are repaired with spot rust remover; a corrosion inhibiting primer is then applied. The gates are then painted where necessary (typically every 2 years). The paint provides a protective barrier from corrosion and environmental damage which could inhibit the safe operation of the gates or lead to catastrophic loss of water from Converse Reservoir.
