Mobile Area Water & Sewer System (MAWSS) responded to a sanitary sewer overflow on August 14, at 8890 Dawes Oak Dr. Approximately 480 gallons of wastewater overflowed into Fowl River as a result of a broken low-pressure force main caused by a third-party contractor. MAWSS crews have repaired the mainline and are taking steps to prevent future overflows at this location.
This overflow was reported by a citizen.
